The City of St George is seeking a full-time Maintenance Crew member to assist in the operation, maintenance and repair of all City infrastructure.
Duties will include but are not limited to: assisting in collection of water/wastewater samples, maintenance of water/wastewater, parks and street infrastructure, assisting with reading/installing water meters and performing other duties as deemed necessary.
Primary work hours are Mon-Fri. 7am-3:30pm, however, hours may vary depending upon department/City needs. Employees may be asked to work evenings, weekends, and holidays and emergency call outs on short notice may occur.
Employees must be able to preform manual labor and safely operate vehicles, equipment and tools. Standing, walking, bending, crawling, lifting and carrying heavy loads are also part of a normal work day. Daily contact with supervisor, co-workers and the general public is expected.
No experience necessary, however, at least 1 year of similar experience and/or education as well as equipment operating experience is preferred.
Salary based on experience.
